Nomads please Beware!
There is a a widespread SOL exploit and hack affecting several wallets, including Slope and Phantom wallet. This appears to have affected both the mobile and the browser extension wallets. These exploits allowed a malicious actor to drain funds from a number of wallets on Solana. As of 5am UTC approximately 7,767 wallets have been affected.
Some precautions you can take:
✅ Move your crypto from a hot wallet to a cold wallet as there is no evidence that hardware wallets are being affected.
✅ Do not click on any suspicious links or suspicious free NFTs in your wallet asking you to click a link to claim your free NFT as it could lead to your account being drained.
✅ Do not insert a seed phrase from a compromised wallet into a hardware wallet, all funds should be removed from compromised wallets and thereafter the wallet seed phrase and the old wallet should be abandoned and a new wallet created.
Here's what you can do right now to best protect yourself if you are using the Phantom wallet:
1. Go to >Settings on your @phantom wallet
2. >Trusted Apps
3. >Revoke Permissions for any suspicious links
